At Entomo Farm, we specialize in producing eco-friendly, nutrient-rich feed for fish and chickens, leveraging the benefits of insect-based ingredients. Our sustainable feed solutions are formulated to promote optimal livestock health and growth while minimizing the environmental impact compared to traditional feed. By incorporating insects, we offer a high-protein, environmentally responsible alternative that aligns with the principles of sustainable agriculture and the circular economy. Our dedication to innovation and sustainability ensures that our feed products are of the highest quality and contribute to a more sustainable future in farming.

Over the years a lot of farmers have experienced crop vulnerability from climate change, poor soil health, pests, limited access to inputs, and markets. This has hindered their crop yields and revenue margins. Innovative approaches and techniques like our frass fertilizer production as a byproduct of product of the feed production process helps farmers grow their crops well. This product is an organic fertilizer with good amounts of NPK, whose nutrient analysis is conducted often. Know the nutritional content of the frass helps with crop rotation and companion planting

Empowering Women and Youth: Aggregating Edible Insects for Sustainable Livelihoods

At Entomo Farm, we collaborate with local women and youth groups, providing training and resources for the sustainable harvesting of edible insects. By acting as edible insect aggregators, we promote edible insects like the Mopane worm, locust and flying termite as a nutritious and sustainable protein source.Through careful aggregation and quality control, we ensure these delicacies reach markets while empowering communities economically and preserving cultural heritage.

Out grower Programme and Training

We contribute to improving dietary diversity and food security, particularly in regions, like Zambia which is currently experiencing effects of the El Niño induced drought, where access to nutritious foods is limited. Furthermore, we actively engage with local communities to promote awareness of the nutritional benefits of insect protein and provide training and support to farmers through our outgrower program. Through these initiatives, we are not only promoting healthy diets for all but also driving positive change in agrifood systems towards greater sustainability and resilience.
